Toshiaki Maeda, the strongest infighter, has victoriously fought close bouts against very strong opponents. Maeda won the 1st place in the 8th Japan Cup Lightweight Class and consecutively won the 5th World championship in 65Kg and the 4th Asia Pacific Tournament in 65Kg. At his prime, he was evaluated as follows: "If you wait and seek the chance, Maeda will beat you. However, if you attack him, you will get a counter attack" He was truly the strongest infighter.
